    Free courses this Autumn

We are excited to announce that we will be holding free courses this autumn in the community garden. Thanks to Somerset Community Foundation who teamed up with Somerset Community Food to offer the ‘Growing Grant’

After a long year and half of responding to Covid lock-down needs for the community, we are offering a chance for the community to come together and celebrate all that is abundant come harvest time.

There will be cooking workshops ‘Garden to Plate’. Ranging from preserving and fermenting with vegetable and fruit gluts, frugal cooking on a budget plus ‘Eat for Health’. We will be inviting in some guest tutors to teach.

We are also offering ‘Herbal Home Remedies’ workshops. Starting with harvesting elder and getting ready for the winter months. There will be cream and balm making plus guest tutors who will be bringing their herbal knowledge to us.

The health and vibrancy of the community is very important to us and we want everyone to be able to benefit from these courses.

You’ll find the individual courses posted under events. Please see them for more details.
