Irrigation System Design Course
by FAadmin • December 3, 2017 • EAT Project, News, Courses & Events, Nursery
This one-day course is aimed at anyone wishing to reduce their water use and labour. Learn the skills and knowledge to design your own irrigation system for your growing system.
When: Thursday 8th February 2018, 10am – 4pm
Where: Glastonbury (venue given on receipt of booking)
What: Irrigation has the potential to increase yields and improve plant health whilst reducing the workload for the grower. It can also save not only water but also money. However, irrigation often feels daunting, technical and is poorly understood. That’s why we’ve created our one-day irrigation course, designed to give you both the theoretical and practical skills required to design, and implement, your very own irrigation system.
The course will cover the key concepts behind irrigation such as pressure, flow and sizing. There will also be time given to understanding the various types of equipment and their uses, so you can buy the right bits for your own. A design exercise will allow you to apply new information in a practical setting. You will come away feeling both confident and inspired.
