• Brook End LAND Centre

brook end logoBrook End is a four-acre smallholding in Compton Dundon, near Street and Glastonbury in Somerset that is managed by two members of Feed Avalon. It is designed and managed on permaculture ethics and agroecological principles. Read about the family and the history of the site here.

Brook End is an accredited LAND Centre (Learning and Network Demonstration) with the Permaculture Association GB. In addition to food production, Feed Avalon uses the site as a venue for courses and gatherings.

The land is diverse with an old orchard, woodland, stream and pond, as well as a 2-acre field. There are 7 greenhouses and a polytunnel as well as intensive vegetable and herb gardens. We grow and sell produce, including salad, herbs and vegetables. We grow without farmed animal inputs, applying the principles of agroecology to produce abundant produce with minimum inputs and maximum biodiversity.
